Amateur Radio (HAM) Operator License Training
Friday, May 3, 2024 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
GET YOUR AMATEUR RADIO (HAM) OPERATOR LICENSE
The Tualatin CERT Team is sponsoring an Amateur Radio license training class open to all. This two-part class will be on May 3-4, 2024, at the Tualatin City Services Building.
- First session Friday, May 3, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
- Second session Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 8:00 am to 5:00pm.
Testing:
- Testing will be supervised by the Laurel VEC Group and begin between 3:30 pm and 4 pm Saturday. Students will be able to qualify for a Technician, General or certain Extra licenses.
Cost:
- There is no charge for the class. FCC does require a fee of $35.00 to obtain the official license and call sign. The trainers can assist students in logging into the FEC website to complete the required information.

The classes will be held in the Conference Rooms located to the west of the entrance on Herman Road. Parking is available outside of the City Yard fence, with handicapped parking closest to the building. Please DO NOT drive inside the fenced area, there is no parking or access.
