Updates & Announcements
Additional information about the renovation projects listed on this page can be found in the Parks & Recreation Master Plan. The plan was adopted in 2019 and will provide guidance for parks, recreation facilities and programs meeting community needs through 2035. The plan is a result of an 18 month process that included community engagement of community members sharing their ideas. Check back often for updates on these Master Plan projects.
SPLASH PAD OPEN SOON
The splash pad at Tualatin Commons will open for the summer the week before Memorial Day. The water will run daily from 9:00 AM to sunset. Come beat the heat and play!
IBACH CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE
We are excited to announce that the playground equipment replacements at Ibach Park are complete and now open to the community. The final stage of construction took place in the play area for teenagers and tweens, incorporating nature-inspired features to complement the new youth playground. New logs and rocks form a ring under a shade sail, creating a perfect sitting area near the highlight of the revamped area, a new climbing boulder!
BASKETBALL COURT CLOSURE
The basketball court at Lafky Park will be temporarily closed beginning May 21st for a full renovation. The old, cracked asphalt will be replaced, and improved with new color court sports surfacing. In addition, the drainage around the court will be improved for increased winter playability. The court will be closed through late June.
